So. There were pumpkin heads to be made. See if you can spot the difference between pumpkin and silly teenagers
and there were stupidly complicated Dr Who Weeping Angel costumes to construct for #2 daughter, who was going to a party at Hannabananas house
And there was stupidly complicated Dirt Cake to be made for daughter #1, who had invited several thousand of her friends around to our house for a party
and there were statues to disrespectfully zombify
and all in all it was pretty much good fun. When we werent Halloweening, there was other stuff to do. My parents came to our gig on Friday and got to see me rocking out for the first time in about 30 years (yeh, Ive been singing jazz ballads for toooooooo long time to get back to my roots yall). You can tell Im rocking out cos Im making a face like a monkey. And thats totally how you can tell. Trying rocking out in front of a mirror. I bet you look like a monkey at least some of the time.
There were also new jobs to be applied for (meh) and fights to have with husbands (double meh) and half terms which passed too bloody quickly.
In between times I missed both a dentist and an optician appointment through being too wrapped up in face paint and crushed Oreos and sodding Etta James covers and pureeing 8lbs of pumpkin flesh and How are we going to fit all those sleeping bags in ONE sitting room, Jooj? and generally being a bit of a stressed out basket case.
Back to work tomorrow and a week filled already to the gunnels with Homework Duty (Monday), Opticians (Tuesday), Band Rehearsal (Wednesday), Fashion Club (Thursday) and Remembrance Assembly (Friday).
At some point I also need to do something interesting enough to write about here. Phew! Its all go, aint it?
