Back on the Right Track Again

Hey Guys!

A day of mixed fortunes - of more later.

Firstly, I must say thank you from the bottom of my heart (and from the heart of my bottom) for all the notes and comments that you left me in the last couple of days. They have meant a great deal to me and I am eternally grateful to you all for even taking the time to read, let alone to leave your thoughts for me. You guys rock, and anything I can ever do for you (apart from lend you money, obviously!) well, you got it.

BF asked if he could read the last entry and I eventually let him as, once I'd posted it, I immediately started to feel much better. I guess bottling things up does nobody any good and even 'telling' others in this virtual kinda way, helped me a lot. BF and I had a talk (well, he talked - I just nodded and stared at my shoes a lot) and things are pretty much OK between us again. That's a good feeling.

Cant guarantee I wont go all wobbly again over the next 18 months (wedding date set for 31 May 08)but I'll try to give you some warning next time, instead of you all pitching up here expecting to read about porn and kids with nits and getting drunk and eating too much and having to suffer middle-aged angst!

So.

Got another letter from my stalker this morning. Wrapped in shiny wrapping paper instead of a regular envelope - so I thought it was an engagement present! - and enclosing a CD. The letter informed me (once again!) that he was giving up the theatre and concentrating on his charity work. I get the distinct impression that not only does he think that I am in some way to feel guilty that he is giving up the theatre, but also that I am supposed to beg him to stay or something. Anyway, he can fuck right off. The CD? Joy Division. Big sticker on the front saying "includes the hit single Love Will Tear Us Apart". The suicidal connection isnt lost on me either, folks. But, as my dear stalker (isnt that a type of hat? Oh, DEER stalker! silly me) points out "I hope that this time you will not feel the need to call the police. I'm perfectly sane and know exactly what I'm doing."

I bet you do, you manipulative little fucker.

NEXT!

Treacle has gone off to Hannahbananna's for a sleepover. Bearing in mind that she got H's mum out of bed at 4am to tell her that she 'had a bad dream' last time she stayed over there, Ive threatened her that she's not to get out of bed unless a) the house is burning down b) she's wet herself or c) she's puked so much that there are no dry bits of bed left to sleep on. I think she got the message.

Jooj has her friend staying over at The Palace of Many Sins tonight so BF and I have our one sleepover rule: If we can hear you, we have to come and yell at you. That's our job as grown ups. If we cant hear you, we will assume that you are asleep, and will leave you alone.

I think it sunk in as we havent heard a thing since they went to bed.

BEFORE they went to bed? Well, that's a different story. First - pizza and School of Rock, then chocolate eclairs. Jooj had to have some fruit after that, she said she thought she was developing scurvy as she'd eaten so much crap. Restored to full health by an orange and half a bag of grapes, they requested popcorn and wanted to make it themselves til they got scared by the bits of popcorn shrapnel flying all around the kitchen and I had to do it instead. There wasnt anything to put on it so we just sprinkled it with icing sugar. Five seconds later, they are both back in the kitchen with huge white icing sugar moustaches. Either that or a SERIOUS cocaine habit. Which, I guess, explained the giggling and the manic behaviour.

Tomorrow, Im going to take them into town. Jooj needs a skirt for school and I'll probably end up buying them each a sackful of crud from Claires.....and maybe something sparkly for me too as my engagement ring hasnt arrived yet and Im feeling a bit miserable about it. Damn UPS.

Later dudes (oh, and thanks again. You are all lovely lovely people)
